Central heterochromia is an eye condition where there are two colors in the same iris; the central (pupillary) zone of the iris is a different color than the mid-peripheral (ciliary) zone.

My dad and brother both have eyes like this. My dad’s are gray and brown, and my brothers are green and brown. My mom has amber eyes, which are also interesting (if not as freakishly pretty as this.) Mine somehow ended up being plain poop brown. Lucky me!

Finally I randomly come across the name of the condition that gives my eyes the weirdness I’ve had for 32 years. Thanks Tumblr.
